Myron was such a good man and had a great heart and was so active in the sports community. He volunteered for so many things. We will all miss him so much. Our prayers are with all of the family.

Myron Rainey was quite a fellow. His family moved to our neighborhood on Sunny Acres Drive when we were young kids. They lived just a hop, skip & a jump across our cow pasture, climb the fence, cross the road & we were there. We practiced a lot of baseball pitching & hitting at his house & a bunch of one on one basketball on our dirt court. I really hated it when they moved, I think in our Senior year. We kept in contact all our lives.

Myron will be truly missed. I worked with him at the courthouse for 5 1/2 years and he was always so genuine and happy to see and talk to me throughout the day during those years. He was a positive influence for the community and his memory won't be forgotten. Praying for the family's comfort during this time.

I met Myron when I was working at the Goodyear store which was located at the present site of Times Mail. Myron was working at the filling station across the street. We never hung out together, but, always had good conversations when we met. I considered him a good friend. I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Myron. I had the opportunity to work many basketball games with him
on the radio. Myron was a true professional who was always prepared to deliver a top notch broadcast while interjecting
his down home country charm and expressing his true feelings about the contest being played. I was honored to work
with WBIW's best sports announcers including John Williams, Al Walker, and Ray Robison. They all were great guys
to be around while learning the broadcast business.
My wife Kathy and I extend our condolences and thoughts and prayers to the entire Rainey family. Myron will
be missed by many. Rest In Peace my good friend.

Myron was a wonderful man. I really enjoyed working with Myron at the courthouse and getting to know him personally. I had the pleasure of meeting Myron most mornings by chance and walking in with him for our day at work. He always had a kind word of encouragement and he loved to talk about his family. Myron is a good and decent man. His passing is deeply felt by me and my family...I am truly sorry for your loss. I worked with Myron at WBIW just before I entered military service.
