Obituary of Mason Robert George

Bloomfield – Mason Robert George, 22, of Bloomfield, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021. Born September 24, 1998, in Bloomington, he was the son of Kirby Robert and Jennifer (Weimer) George. He was employed at Tieman Tire in Owensburg and was recently promoted to shop Floor Foreman in Bloomington. Everyone that knew Mason knew that he had the biggest heart and always had a smile on his face. Any time that anyone needed anything, Mason was there. It’s easy to say that his favorite thing to do was help people, whether it be pulling someone out of a ditch, working on a truck, or even giving someone a place to live. A close second would be fishing, looking for mushrooms or hunting ginseng. Mason never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. Survivors include his mother, Jennifer George (Bob Atkins), of Bedford; a sister, Kelsey George of Homerville, OH; grandfather, Jim Weimer (Joy), of Solsberry; grandmother, Marilyn George, of Owensburg; a nephew, Noah George, of Homerville, OH; an aunt, Jill Weimer, of Solsberry; several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Devin George; his grandmother, Janet Weimer and his grandfather, Bob George. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, April 23rd at the Solsberry Christian Church with Jay Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Owensburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 22nd at the Solsberry Christian Church. Pallbearers are: Jake Uland, Tristan Jones, Robert Hoover, Bryant Helton, John Graber, Joel Weimer, Clayton Sowders, and Monte Long. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com
