We will be unable to attend Jerrod’s services but know that we will have Jerrod and all of his family on our minds and in our hearts as we share in your grief. I will remember the little guy who became my daughter Sara’s pal one summer in Mitchell. I will remember the young man who was a really good golfer as he, myself and Mike traveled to different golf courses near Mitchell. I will remember him trying his darndest to sing “Dream, Dream, Dream” by the Everly Brothers one special night. Most of all I will remember his courage in his fight against a horrible disease. It was so great to see him at Jimmy & Alexis’ wedding and meet Heather and the girls. Rest In Peace sweet Jerrod. Love to all from Iowa, Roger, Elizabeth and Grant Goudschaal, Sara & Terry Blessing, Aria, Ada and Edith❤️

Sometimes in life you are blessed to know certain people with the kindest hearts. Humility and humor and just a manner of natural humanity. Few people have ever made me laugh like J-Rod. I wish that I had been able to spend more time with him as we aged. But we all go to different places, we all get separated. Doesn't matter. The love you have for the friends from your youth is never failing. And no, I still can't guard him. He's too quick. Love you and love you family. Nobody was more awesome.

some of the most accurate words ever written. Jerrod was one of a kind, he never met a stranger, and was always so pleasant to others. I never got the chance to tell him how much he really helped me in my life, he basically saved it. I love you Jerrod

So sorry for your loss. Our son grew up playing baseball with Jerrod in Little League. He was always a polite and kind young man. His legacy will live on through his generous gift of life to others.
