Obituary of Wilma Laverne Fountain

Zelma-Wilma Laverne Fountain, 85, of Zelma, died at 4:45 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the White River Lodge in Bedford.

Born October 10, 1932 she was the daughter of Zanford and Margaret (Martin) Kinser.  She married George W. Fountain on June 18, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2017.  She attended the Donica Church of God. 

Survivors include: a son, George Michael Fountain and wife, Bonnie, of Zelma; a daughter Paula Brooking and husband, Louie, of Zelma; five grandsons, Troy and Eric Fountain, both of Zelma, Cory Fountain and wife, Cassidy, of Turkey, Kevin W. Brooking and wife, Robin, of Ellettsville, Nathan Brooking and wife, Kara, of Pickens, SC; nine great grandchildren, Hannah Fountain, Billy Fountain, Ella Fountain, Emma Fountain, Chloe Fountain, Benjamin Fountain, Kinsley Brooking, Charlotte Brooking, and Colton  Brooking; one great great granddaughter, Sadie Hollar;  two brothers, Richard Kinser and wife, Sharon, of Heltonville, and Gene Kinser, of Bedford; two sisters, Ann Hunt and husband, Gordon, of Norman, and Nancy Sowder and husband, Butch, of Bedford; a brother-in-law, Duane Chastain, of Bedford; a special caregiver, Shirley Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Billy Fountain, and a sister, Kathryn Chastain.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kendall Hendrickson officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Jackson County. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
