Obituary of Betty Louise Brown

Bedford – Betty Louise Brown, 74, of Bedford, died at 8:50 am on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at White River Lodge.

Born June 23, 1942 in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Bud and Virginia (Parham) Hawkins. She married Duane “Buck” Brown on October 9, 1981 and he preceded her in death on October 24, 2016. She had worked at Visteon in Bedford and was a member of the Bedford Boat & Sportsman Club. She enjoyed golfing, camping, gardening, and dancing.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Arthur and wife, Janice of Canada, and Jeff Arthur, of Bedford; a daughter, Penny Reintsma and husband, Chad, of Montana; grandchildren, Tanner Arthur, James Arthur, Nicholas Arthur, Sadie Winters, Ryan Lane, Kaitlyn Summerhays, and Luke Reintsma; great grandchildren, Marley and Lennon Summerhays, a sister, Janie Lyons and husband, Gary, of Springville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a grandson, Dylan Thomas.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with David Brown officiating. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
