Obituary of Pamela Kaye Jones

Pamela Kaye Jones April 22, 1948 – May 30, 2016 Pamela Kaye Jones, 68, of Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 30, 2016, while traveling in Canada with her husband and close friends. Born April 22, 1948, in Bedford, she was the daughter of John F. and Billie Blythe (Wagoner) Day. She married Phillip Stackhouse in 1965. She later married Charles W. Jones on October 28, 1983. She retired as the Vice President of the Villages of Indiana – Bloomington, after thirty-eight years of service. Survivors include her husband, Chuck, of Bedford; daughter, Tami (Stackhouse) Schnatzmeyer and husband Todd of Bloomington; son, Phillip Stackhouse of San Diego, CA; sister, Storme Day of Bedford; step-mother, Jesse Day of Bedford; step-daughter, Kerry Jones of Fort Wayne, IN; step-son, Craig Jones and wife Kathleen of Lafayette, IN; step-son, Christopher Jones and wife Jocelyn Weiss-Jones of Chicago, IL; step-son, Ken Jones and wife Jill of Baldwin, MO; step-daughter, Margaret Jones-McCue and husband John McCue of Pembroke, MA; nephew, Jeremy Day and wife Donita of Las Vegas, NV, fifteen grandchildren, and one grand-nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Billie, brother John, and a step-son, Larry Jones. She was a wonderful, caring person and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be at Day and Carter Mortuary in Bedford on Saturday, June 11, from noon to 5 p.m. The memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. and will be followed by a short service at Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford where she will be laid to rest. On Sunday, June 12, from 1 to 5 p.m., a gathering to celebrate Pam’s life will be held at Bedford Little Theatre (1704 Brian Lane Way) where she was actively involved for many years. Please come as you are. Drinks and appetizers will be provided. Memorial contributions to the Children’s Village of Indiana are appreciated in lieu of flowers. Contact: www.childrensvillagekids.org
