Obituary of Ruth Way

Bedford – Ruth Way, 90, of Bedford, died at 8:15 pm on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bedford. Born October 23, 1925, in Arkansas, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Eva (Cheek) Williams. She married John Way on December 23, 1944 and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2008. She retired as a secretary at NWSC Crane and attended Midtown Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Kevin Way of Bedford; a grandson, Nathan Way of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Barbara Weaver and a brother, Elvin Williams. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, May 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bud Smith and Pastor Robert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
