Obituary of Glenn R. Duncan

Bedford – Glenn R. Duncan, 84, of Bedford, died at 9:30 am on Friday, March 20, 2015 at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington. Born August 28, 1930 in Owen Co., Indiana, he was the son of Emil and Clara (Bivens) Duncan. He married Elizabeth Steinsberger in 1953 and she preceded him in death in August 1987. He later married Carolyn Cox and she preceded him in death on May 29, 2012. Glenn retired as pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in 2008. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army. Survivors include four daughters, DeAnna Carlson and husband, Joe, Becky McNeely, Sheryl Draus and husband, Mike, all of Elkhart, IN and Cindy Dorsett and husband, Randy, of Bedford; one step-son, Mike Tryee and wife, Judy, of Amory, MS; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Miller and Katryn Greenwell both of Clay City, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives and a brother, Robert Duncan. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, March 23rd at the First Assembly of God Church in Bedford with Bill McKee officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery where military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion and D.A.V. Chapter 2. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, March 22nd and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, March 23rd all at the First Assembly of God Church.
