Obituary of Glenn D. Turpen

Ozark, Missouri Glenn D. Turpen, 76, a resident of Ozark, MO, formerly of Branson, MO, died on June 23, 2003 at St. Johns Regional Health Care Center in Springfield, MO. Born January 30, 1927 in Bedford, IN, he was the son of Glenn W. and Irene (Trinkle) Turpen. He married Maxine Hampton in 1947 and she survives. He was a member of the U.S. Navy 51/55 Radio Operators, American Legion, Missouri Pilots Assoc. Ozark Chapter and the Free Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Japan and Korea during the Korean Conflict. He was a private pilot operating his own plane. Surviving with his wife, Maxine are one daughter, Nancy Chism of Ozark, MO; one son, Greg Turpen of Branson, MO; one sister, Dottie Ball of Indianapolis, IN and three grandchildren. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 am on Friday, June 27th at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Wednesday, June 25th at the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home in Branson, MO and from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Friday, June 27th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
